Oak Park’s winter answer to Evanston’s annual spring “Bach Week, ” “Handel Week” is now in its seventh season of presenting both popular and neglected works by the Baroque era’s second-most-popular composer and this year offers a one-time-only opportunity to hear the seldom-performed Handel opera “Ezio” live. Singers Sarah Gartshore, Philip Kraus, Erik Ashcraft, Amy Pickering, Michelle Wrighte and Julia Bentley will perform this classic intrigue in Caesar’s court with a libretto by Metastasio and with projected English subtitles while “Handel Week” co-founder Dennis Northway conducts. A pre-performance lecture will be presented at 2:15pm. (Dennis Polkow)
