It’s a sure sign of spring when Hubbard Street Dance Chicago presents its annual spring dance celebration, which this year includes two weeks of programs. This opening week is called “Fresh Visions” and includes the world premiere of legendary American choreographer Lar Lubovich’s “Cryptoglyph,” set to a vocal score by Meredith Monk. It also features the return of last fall’s new work “Bardo,” set by Japanese choreographer Toru Shimazaki and audience favorite “Strokes Through The Tail” by choreographer Marguerite Donlon (set to music of Mozart and which whimsically has dancers emulating the visual style of Mozart’s own musical notation).
