There’s only two shows left in Spitfire Comedy’s four-shot monthly run at the Apollo, which means you’ve only got two chances left this year to see Chicago’s funniest women on stage all together. The all-female comedy collective (they bill themselves as “Chicago Comedy’s Broad Squad”) features short standup acts by talented women like Allison Leber, Hannah Gansen, and Fay Canale. There will be some Y chromosomes there as well– Bill Cruz is set to host, and every show features special guests of both sexes. Spitfire has been appearing at lots of different events all around town (including a fundraiser for the Young Women’s Leadership Council earlier this month), but these shows at the Apollo are their time to shine as a group.
