Stand-up comedians have been talking about marijuana since the invention of the microphone, and no stand-up comedian talks about it quite like 2006 High Times Stoner of the Year, Doug Benson. Articulate, funny and older than you’d think, Benson has been traveling the country talking about the joys of cannabis for years, and it finally seems to be working. A member of laugh co-op the Comedians of Comedy, with a successful traveling live show, “The Marijuana-logs,” and a new movie “Super High Me” making its Lakeshore debut later this month, Doug Benson is, to be blunt, on fire. But Benson is no one-trick pony. His online column, “I Love Movies,” has recently been upgraded to an internet show, and his pop-culture expertise, effortless delivery and penchant for dicking around guarantee there will be plenty to giggle at this weekend.
