Like it or not, hecklers are an integral part of the stand-up-comedy experience. Drunk, bored a-holes challenging the dominance of the man with the microphone: how a comedian handles heckling can define his/her career. The Edge Comedy Club hosts “Crowd Work, ” maybe the only pro-heckler comedy show in the world. Audience members are encouraged to interrupt, and comedians will be forced to fend for themselves. An intriguing idea to begin with, host Junior Stopka, one of the filthiest/funniest comics working in Chicago, guarantees the show will be something to see. More interactive theater than standard stand-up, “Crowd Work” is a sight to behold. (Max Minor)
