Magic Chicago Announces Fall 2009 Season
What do you get when you combine mind-reading and a bit of magical history with spirit visitations, psychic entertainers and a 4th generation Water Witch? You get some of the world’s greatest acts in magic – and they’re all appearing on the Magic Chicago stage in the coming weeks.
Robert Charles and Benjamin Barnes, the stars and producers of Magic Chicago, are announcing their fall 2009 season, which celebrates Magic Chicago’s 5th year as the Windy City’s premiere showcase for magic, mystery and wonder.

Henry Lewis
“An Evening with Henry Lewis”

Light-hearted, entertaining magic plus a charming interview with one of Great Britain’s living treasures. Henry Lewis has mystified audiences from St. James’ Palace in London to theaters across Canada, Ireland, the Middle East and the United States. In addition to magic, the evening will include Henry’s reminiscences of magicians he’s known from around the world as well as reflections about his personal experiences as the museum curator at The Magic Circle, England’s most prestigious magical society.
Michael Ammar
“Michael Ammar: Memories of a Lifetime” – featuring a special performance of the Willard Spirit Cabinet

An enchanting magical experience with the renowned Michael Ammar, only the second American to win the Gold Medal in close-up magic at the World Congress of Magic in Lausanne, Switzerland. Michael regularly appears on television and in Las Vegas. Both Magic Chicago performances will include a special presentation of The Willard Spirit Cabinet by Michael Ammar and his wife, Hannah, who is the daughter of Frances Willard and grand-daughter of James Francis Willard, widely known as “Willard the Wizard.”

Unusual feats of magic with two Chicago favorites. Gordon Meyer, a 4th generation Water Witch, has 11 fingers. James Sanden has performed funny and astonishing magic in a variety of locales, from Japan to Costa Rica to Chicago.
