The World Over
By Keith Bunin – Directed by Tim Speicher
October-November
Adam, a castaway, is discovered on an island with no memory except for a familiar yet mysterious ring. He soon learns that he may be the heir to the magnificent kingdom of Gildaroy….if he could only find it first. Follow him as he travels the world searching for his lost kingdom: through oceans, deserts, mountains, and the skies.
A Crowded House
An explosion of Shakespeare’s The Winter’s Tale
Sparked by Taylor Bibat
February-March
A Crowded House is an explosion of William Shakespeare’s The Winter’s Tale. Audience members will freely explore an environment of jealousy, rage, death, love, and life. This experiential “translation” assaults Shakespeare’s original story by means of sound, object, bodies, and creative juiciness. A directing ensemble of 9 of the top young directors in Chicago welcomes you into this extraordinary theatrical event. Get affected, excited, inspired, take a breather, and finally party your ass off at A Crowded House.
Young Frontier
by Chelsea Marcantel – Directed by Tim Speicher
May-June
New Mexico, very soon. The newly privatized Space Race is fueled by greed and mired in conflict; the world that spawned it is uninspired and inattentive. Determined to resurrect the human spirit and reawaken true exploration, two young scientists attempt to take to the stars in a vessel of their own design. What results is their education on the true meaning of ambition, attachment, and home–at the ultimate cost to themselves.
