Hubbard Street presents their annual showcase of new works by emerging choreographic talent within the company. Some of the pieces may even make it into Hubbard Street’s regular rep, like Jonathan Fredrickson’s “Untitled” from last year’s Danc(e)volve. Fredrickson returns with a theatrical piece entitled “For the Wandered.” You’ll also see new work from increasingly familiar names like former HS dancer Robyn Mineko Williams and Terence Marling, director of their second company, who contributes two pieces to the show, each blending the two companies. Penny Saunders, who retires this summer after nine years with Hubbard Street, presents a piece about rites of passage and titled after one of the names she considered for her first born. The newcomer is HS2 dancer Andrew Wright, who presents a piece for the whole HS2 ensemble. The subject: selfless love. (Sharon Hoyer)
