1 Rhythm World (Multiple venues) The Chicago Human Rhythm Project’s annual weeklong festival of tap and percussive dance features workshops, classes and showcases, culminating in “JUBA! Masters of Tap and Percussive Dance” performances at the Studebaker Theater in the Fine Arts Building. July 16-22
2 Tsukasa Taiko (MCA Stage) Japanese drumming, Gin-ei poetry, samurai sword and fan dancing come together in a spectacular, free-of-charge, fiftieth-anniversary celebration of the Nippon Ginkenshibu Foundation. July 29

5 DanceChance (Lou Conte Dance Studio) DanceWorks Chicago’s monthly program is an informal works-in-progress showing at Hubbard Street’s home studio by three choreographers, selected at random and given fifteen minutes to show and discuss new works. July 27
