For the last five years the Chicago Dance History Project has amassed an archive of interviews, performance videos, photographs and written materials from Chicago-based choreographers, dancers, documentarians, patrons, administrators and collaborators with a self-described sense of priority. Shelter-in-place instilled new urgency for CDHP to move the archive online; CDHP conducted more than 130 video interviews and conversations and has over 120 edited clips available on their website. Materials are organized by collection or searchable by name, genre or category. It’s a treasure trove of reflections from Chicago’s extensive and diverse dance community.
