Multidisciplinary artist Brendan Fernandes critiques ballet, Western classical music and Western conceptions of time amidst the curated prairie of the Lurie Garden. Taking inspiration from the Japanese calendar, in which seasons are as short as five days, Fernandes finds layers of meaning in relationship to the canonical past, to current invisible labor, to the ground beneath our feet.
